The chairman Shri A.Shanmugasundaram is a competent administrator, stringent and fastidious person who realised the immense need of providing education for the post school students of their native villages from 1985 running with Matric School. So he founded a college for women in the name of our national father ‘ Gandhiji’ in the academic year 2015-2016, and it came to service with five Under Graduate courses namely B.A.English., B.Sc.Maths., B.Sc.Physics., B.Com., B.Com.CA., and in the next academic year 2016-2017 added with two Under Graduate courses namely B.Sc.Computer Science and B.Sc.Chemistry and in the academic year 2019-2020 the institution added two more UG courses B.A.Tamil and B.Sc. Botany along with two PG courses M.A.English and M.Com. Gandhi Institutions are flourishing admirably at NallurKandampalayam,Namakkal,TamilNadu,and it affiliated to Periyar University,Salem.

The college has a master plan of its campus with its existing building and the projected expansion for the future.It has spacious building,Principal’s room,separate rooms for every department,classrooms,well equipped Laboratories of all science courses,Library with enormous reference books,providing sports to become physically health,conducting seminars,and workshops to enrich knowledge to the younger generations.

The founder is noted for sincere, hard work, tolerance, dedication, decision making, practical trend setter etc., He is empathetic towards his employees and he considers the teachers as the pillars and his students as the pearls of ‘Gandhi’. Never has he upheld the discrimination of creed, caste, community and religion. He treats all the stakeholders as the members of Gandhi family he being the head.
